A few facts to consider before you donate to or support the ICAF
- All our programs, exhibitions and festivals are free of charge and our ChildArt magazine has never had a single commercial advertisement in it
- We have never hired a telemarketer or done mass mailings, and never would
- We have not engaged a Hollywood celebrity as spokesperson because children are our celebrities
- We do not organize black-tie charity fundraisers because we’d rather see you spend the evening with your children
- You should know that the ICAF organized the first ever national children’s art festival in U.S. history, held in 1998 on the National Mall in Washington DC. That every four years since 1999 the ICAF has organized the World Children’s Festival in Washington as children’s Olympics of imagination and co-creation. That the ICAF played an important role in bringing the Olympics to our nation’s capital and was a partner organization in New Your City’s bid for the 2012 Olympics. That the ICAF has organized over 100 exhibitions all over the U.S. and around the world since 1997. And that over 2 million children worldwide are expected to participate in, and benefit from, the 5th Arts Olympiad (2013—2016).
- We are a small creative organization that depends upon your generosity to sustain and grow our work for the children so they could build a just, prosperous, and nonviolent world.
- Write your check payable to “International Child Art Foundation” and mail it to:
ICAF, P.O. Box 58133
Washington, DC 20037 - Make online donation via Google or Amazon (just fill in the amount and click on the “Donate” button). Alternatively, you can donate via JustGive.org. Note: Google, Amazon and JustGive charge the ICAF a processing fee.
We can’t arrange the whole festival on our own so we need your help. We need volunteers right before and during the festival.
- If you are big and strong, we need stage hands and security
- If you love the environment, you could join the festival cleanup crew
- If you know a foreign language, you could be an interpreter
- If you write like an author, you can write about our festival
- If you have a cool camera, you can be an Official Photographer or Official Videographer
- If you have a car, you could welcome and meet our delegates at an area airport and give them a ride to their hotel or host family
- If you have an extra room in your home, you could be a host family
- If you have extra cash, you can donate it to us and our festival
Send us an email [volunteer@icaf.org] and tell us what you can do and how.
