A few facts to consider before you donate to or support the ICAF
- All our programs, exhibitions and festivals are free of charge and our ChildArt magazine has never had a single commercial advertisement in it
- We have never hired a telemarketer or done mass mailings, and never would
- We have not engaged a Hollywood celebrity as spokesperson because
children are our celebrities
- We do not organize black-tie charity fundraisers because we’d rather see you
spend the evening with your children
- You should know that the ICAF organized the first ever national children’s
art festival in U.S. history, held in 1998 on the National Mall in Washington DC. That every four years since 1999 the ICAF has organized the World Children’s Festival in Washington as children’s Olympics of imagination and co-creation. That the ICAF played an important role in bringing the Olympics to our nation’s capital and was a partner organization in New Your City’s bid for the 2012 Olympics. That the ICAF has organized over 100 exhibitions all over the U.S. and around the world since 1997. And that over 2 million children worldwide are expected to participate in, and benefit from, the 5th Arts Olympiad (2013—2016).
- We are a small creative organization that depends upon your generosity to sustain and grow our work for the children so they could build a just, prosperous, and nonviolent world.
